A presentation by Pete Flavell, Healthwatch

Decisions:

The presentation was delivered by Peter Flavell, Healthwatch Sutton Manager.  He gave an overview of the Healthwatch Sutton Young People’s Mental Health and Wellbeing Survey key findings which were published in January 2019. 

The aim of the survey of the Mental Health for Children and Young people was to collect a body of evidence. 

It was highlighted that the survey showed that where individuals felt they needed support their preferred method of receiving help was via face to face contact.  

The Board were advised that a further survey is being conducted now for Primary School age children. 

RESOLVED: That 

1.    The contents of the Mental Health and Wellbeing Survey report were noted

2.    It was noted that the recommendations within the Healthwatch Sutton Mental Health and Wellbeing Survey report will be taken into account as the Council’s Outcomes Based Commissioning Reviews and the Council’s and CCG’s re-commissioning work proceed, as set out in paragraph 3.9 of the report..
