The PC explained that the crime figures for quarter 1, 2019 have now been published, and showed crime in the area remains low, compared to the remainder of London. Theft from vehicles and burglary remained priorities for the team, work with Surrey Police has been completed which proved successful and will continue. Security tips were provided, these tips are available on the website.
The PC confirmed the Police were aware of the vandalism to the street trees at the Nonsuch junction and issue will be addressed within the next few weeks. Council officers have visited the site reviewed and re secured the trees, the site will be monitored and trees replaced as necessary.
The PC informed that his team had access to mobile CCTV, and that this can be requested for use at hotspots. The preferred option is, however, that static CCTV is installed at known hotspots. The PC mentioned there are 13 cameras within this cluster.
