To consider recommendations referred by the Planning Committee and to make decisions on them.
The function of the Planning Sub-Committee is:
1. To receive recommendations of the Planning Committee on the categories of planning applications; to agree with the recommendations; or, when not agreed, to refer the recommendations back to the Planning Committee.
The Planning Sub-Committee may consider only information considered by the Planning Committee in recommending a decision on an application. No new information may be considered by the Planning Sub-Committee where that information has not already been considered by the Planning Committee.
The Planning Sub-Committee will consist of three members: the Chair of the Planning Committee (Chair); Vice Chair of the Planning Committee; and Principal Opposition Group member of the Planning Committee. Substitutes may be any member of the same party groups represented on the Planning Sub-Committee.
