Proposal to apply for Employer with Heart Charter Mark in support of employees with premature babies

Every year, around one in eight babies in the UK is born prematurely. As well as being one of the most stressful experiences a new parent can go through, there can be practical and financial implications when a baby arrives sooner than expected.

The Smallest Things campaign, encourages employers to provide parents of premature babies with extra support in terms of additional maternity leave, and flexible working options. We are proposing to implement a number of measures to help support parents who find themselves in this difficult position.
